| Combat Skill, Classes and MP In this post, I will detail the Combat Skill system, Character Classes, and how MP works. The main amount of information for all three things will be in spoilers to cut down on post length, and so you can quickly navigate to which of the three you want to read about.
Combat Skill
This system is relatively new, and is used as a general guide to how powerful a character is and their capabilities as a character. Certain races have specific Combat Skill limits that can only be broken with permission, as a result of plot or history development, while some have an unlimited range. Most, however, are in the former category. For more information on this, please see the Character Races post, where it details what skill range they are allowed to use.
- Spoiler:
As said before, Combat Skill is used to generalize a character's capabilities and power. This system is pretty basic, really. When a character is made, they will be given a Combat Skill rank, decided between you and the moderator or admin you're dealing with.
"I" Rank "I" individuals are extremely weak characters. They are generally terrible at defending themselves or fighting others, as well as using magic. Younger or particularly passive characters are likely to be in this range or in the two ranks above this. It is also possible for a character to drop down to this rank through plot events.
"II" Rank "II" characters are very weak characters. While they are noticeably stronger than Rank I characters, they are still nearly defenseless in most situations.
[insert rank images and description here]
Classes
Classes aren't required, but they can help define your character's ability to do certain things, as well as change their MP amount available (there is no set range, but there will be a hard cap based on their rank and class)
- Spoiler:
Below is a list of classes that are "Preset". They each serve a unique purpose. However, these are not the only classes available. If you want to use your own class, then you can send me a message and we'll talk about it. If I agree, it will be added to the custom list, further down.
Default The "Default" class is your basic, nameless, "jack of all trades" class. If you don't want to pick a class, then just choose this one. Any character with the default class will not receive any bonuses, but will also receive no penalties other classes suffer.
Warrior The warrior is your standard melee focused fighter. They
MP Info
MP is a necessary component to spell-casting, for most magic users. MP availability to tied directly to your character's Combat Rank and Class, as well as plot related events.

| Note: The rules in here may change at any time. If they do change, there will be a note at the top of the forum saying soCharacter RulesThere are not very many rules, but there are some, so please abide by them.
- Use the template! There is no excuse not to. Delete what you don't fill.
- EXCEPTION: In some cases, required fields CANNOT be filled out. Please PM an Admin if you are having difficulty and think you should be excused, and explain your situation.
- Keep images appropriate! This forum is publicly visible. Character pictures must be safe for work. Users breaking this rule will be banned on the spot (length depends on picture and user history)
- If the character's race is not already listed, please post it to be added to the list. The character will not be approved until their race is (races will almost ALWAYS be approved)
- Only use characters created by you! Any characters ripped from other stories, games, or any other form of media are not allowed unless you are the creator of said media.
Magic RulesThese rules are VERY important when making and using spells. Your spells will not be approved if they fail to meet these rules.
- Use the template! Same as above.
- No auto-hitting spells! There are very few exceptions to this rule. If you want to make one, please PM me first, rather than posting the spell, so we can discuss it.
- Keep the power consistent with your character! A mere mortal will not be able to call meteors from the sky, for example. Be realistic about their capabilities.
- Your spells WILL be balanced! If your spells are unbalanced, I will guide you through balancing it. Refusal to balance it will result in the spell being deleted on the spot (even if you put SO MUCH EFFORT into it, it WILL be deleted)
Weapon RulesWhen creating a weapon, please follow these rules. There aren't many, but they ARE important.
- No ballistic weapons! This specifically refers to firearms. Using a gun just ruins the fairness of any RP site, so they're banned here.
- Be realistic! Please, don't make stupid weapons... A mortal can't swing around a hammer three times their weight and size. You get the idea.
- Joke weapons ARE allowed. Just keep in mind that they won't help you at all if you get into a real fight.
Forms/Transformation RulesNot everyone will have these, as they can be hard to get approved due to balancing, but for those who want to try get one, here are the rules.
- As always, follow the template.
- Balance the cost for power. Forms can be VERY strong. Make sure the cost or penalties for using it are balanced, or work with a staff member like myself to make it balanced.
- Be realistic with power. A mortal cannot spend a little MP and become a god. Even if you make the cost ridiculously high, there are some things that people cannot achieve.
Summon RulesNot everyone will have these, as they can be very hard to get approved due to balancing, but for those who want to try get one, here are the rules.
- As always, follow the template.
- Balance the cost for power. Forms can be VERY strong. Make sure the cost or penalties for using it are balanced, or work with a staff member like myself to make it balanced.
- Be realistic with power. It's not easy to summon or create something conscious and keep them summoned.
- Abilities can be added over time. As long as you ask first, so we can move it out of archiving to be edited, we will allow you to add and alter abilities as you see fit. However, it will need to be reapproved, and all changes will be archived in a reply to the thread.
- All summons should be unique! The only exception to this is if they are summoning generic things, like wolves or 'characterless' soldiers.
About Approved ItemsIf you are wondering where your approved items disappear to, they are being moved to the "Unrelated RP Creation Archive". It is a section visible only to site staff, but any thread there can be viewed if you access it from a link. It is where all approved items will be moved, as well as the Character threads, which contain links to all of their spells, weapons, and all of that stuff. If you have an item there which you would like to view or change, go to the Character Reference Links thread, find your character, and open it from there. You will not be able to edit anything that is approved without messaging a moderator or admin first, so we can unlock the thread for you.

| Elements Below is a list of all 'basic' elements on the forum. Be warned, that some cannot be used by mortals, and there are more that are not listed, due to being a combination of two or more elements. Some of these are listed in the In-Depth section, but some others, you will have to figure out yourself.
- Non-Elemental (only use if you have no other element)
- Fire
- Ice
- Water
- Electricity
- Earth
- Wind
- Metal
- Life
- Darkness
- Space
- Time
In depth information
- Spoiler:
Fire Fire is the first of the six basic elements. It allows an individual to create, control, or extinguish fire purely with the energy in their body.
Can be mixed with Earth to create Magma.
Ice Ice is the second of the six basic elements. With Ice, an individual can create, control, or destroy ice with nothing but the energy in their body. Ice users can also freeze and unfreeze water, but cannot control water in its standard form.
Water Water is the third of the six basic elements. Water allows an individual to create, control, or evaporate water at will by expending energy. Water users can also freeze water or unfreeze any ice, but cannot control ice.
Electricity Electricity is the fourth of the six basic elements. An individual with mastery of electricity can produce electrical energy and control how it acts by expending energy. Electricity can also be controlled by stronger individuals to produce and control lightning.
Earth Earth is the fifth of the six basic elements. With Earth, an individual can control the earth around them, specifically controlling dirt and rock. More powerful individuals can control more things, such as concrete and minerals.
Wind Wind is the final of the six basic elements. Using Wind, an individual can control how the air around them flows. This can be one of the most lethal elements if the user is strong enough, but it also takes much more effort to use than you would expect, because of the sheer volume of air.
Metal Metal is a branch of the "Earth" element, specifically for the manipulation of minerals, mostly limited to the ones used to make metal, hence the name. Metal takes a much larger amount of energy to control, but with it, a person can theoretically make themselves impossible to attack with any conventional weapons, if they are powerful enough.
Life Life is a unique element that contains two very specific sub-elements: Curative and Poison. This element allows people to heal the wounds of themselves or others, as well as create poisonous substances. More advanced users can transfer some of their own energy into another person or creature to try delay their death or halt it entirely, or taint something with poison.
Life can be combined with other elements to transfer their healing or poisonous properties.
Darkness Darkness is a difficult element to use effectively. It allows someone to control and create shadows to darken lights, make it difficult to see, and various other things. More advanced users can use it to coat locations in show so it appears to be nothing but blackness, as well as use the Illusion sub-element.
Space Space is one of the most complicated elements to use, and is restricted to Rank VIII and higher characters, or rank VII Mage class characters. It allows the user to manipulate the space around them, altering it in various ways. This may include increasing or decreasing gravity, expanding the space between two objects to push them away or cause something to explode, decreasing the space between two objects to pull them together, and more.
Time Time is a special element only available to rank IX characters or higher. This element allows people to slow down or otherwise alter the flow of time. There is currently only one being with the ability to infinitely rewind time, a Guardian called "The Keeper", and the likelihood of someone else mastering this power to that point is non-existent due to this fact.
